Under 16's face high quality field in Saturday's tournament |
The Cork County Board Under 16 Invitational takes place this Saturday the 6th December, and our Under 16's will be looking to win another tournament to go with the Under 15 John Coughlan won by this group last year.
Coming out with that win definitely won't be easy though, as there are just eight entrants and there isn't a weak team anywhere to be found. It would be tempting to say that ourselves, Blue Demons, Eanna and Maree is a tough group, but given that Ballincollig, an excellent Tramore side, Claregalway and Fr. Mathews are in the other group, there isn't too much of a difference.
Neptune will open against Blue Demons at 10:30, then Eanna at 12:30 and Maree at 14:30. Two teams will advance, but 3 wins will be required to get a semi-final against the runner-up from the other group.
Best of luck to all the players and coaches Tony O'Connell and Michael Hennessy, and all members and supporters are asked to drop in and support the team. |
